A Colorado native turned Birminghamian, I grew up in Cahaba Heights. I attended High School at Vestavia Hills where my wife, Claire, and I reside to this day. I loved every second of my four years at Auburn and jumped into a career in the hospitality industry shortly thereafter. I had the privilege of leading teams to success at a number of notable resorts and fine-dining establishments across the country, first as a chef, and then as a director. Along the way, I found the most joy in helping my team members develop financially sound strategies, both in our businesses and in their personal lives. Claire and I made the decision to settle back in Birmingham and fully transition into the field that had become my passion.

We are members at Redeemer Community Church. I enjoy playing banjo, chess, and watching a good Christopher Nolan movie. Claire is a world-class sourdough bread baker, pottery maker, and we both enjoy going to music festivals. Although my chef days are behind me, Claire says I can still make a pretty decent meal.
