I grew up in the small town of Stuttgart, Arkansas where I was very active in all sports and in my church. I attended the University of Central Arkansas in Conway where I was active in the social fraternity of Pi Kappa Alpha and the social sorority as a big brother with Alpha Sigma Alpha. I loved my time in Conway as I got my first professional experience with the Log Cabin Democrat newspaper as a Distribution Supervisor. After college, I received my first financial services opportunity with MetLife in North Little Rock, Arkansas in the late 80's. I soon married and things were looking up until a water skiing accident put a halt to most of my activities as well as my career. Many years of physical therapy and multiple spine surgeries, I tried to maintain my financial services career but it was slow going. I took a job as an accountant with a mental health facility in Marion, Arkansas while keeping abreast of the financial services industry and my dream of helping others with their financial dreams. I am extremely excited to join SFP and looking for that comeback that I only dreamed of. I currently hold board positions with the Alumni Advisory board and the House Cooperation of Pi Kappa Alpha at the University of Central Arkansas in Conway. I reside in Marion, Arkansas with my wife of 32 years, Lynell Prince Overturf. We have two sons, Taylor, 36 of Tontitown, Arkansas, and Steven, 31 of Houston, Texas. ​
